Individual therapy (adults)
At Safe Spot Counselling, I work with adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or questioning themselves — often in the context of relationships or life changes.
Counselling is available online via Zoom, or in person in Petersham. In-person sessions are generally on Thursdays or Sundays. You can learn more about my approach and the areas I can help with below.
Support during major life changes
There are so many transitions and expectations around different life stages that can quietly impact our mental health and sense of self.
You might be feeling the pressure of where you “should” be, adjusting to a new role, or trying to make sense of something that’s changed in your life.
We can help with issues including:
-
dealing with social pressures related to life stage
-
feeling stuck or directionless
-
overwhelm
-
parenthood
-
return to work or career change
-
grief
-
separation following domestic violence

Support for relationship challenges
Relationships can cause a considerable amount of stress and anxiety, and counselling provides a safe space to work through these issues. It can also help you improve your most important relationship (the one with yourself!). We can assist with:
-
Navigating toxic relationships
-
Relationship anxiety
-
Decision-making in relationships (moving on, boundary setting)
-
Exploring your significant relationships and their impacts
-
Relationship conflicts
-
Self-esteem
Our Counselling Approach
I understand that finding a counsellor can feel daunting, so I aim to make the process as welcoming and supportive as possible.
Depending on what feels right for you, I draw on approaches such as solution-focused therapy, interpersonal therapy, strengths-based practice, psychoeducation, and narrative therapy. If you’re open to it, we can also explore more creative methods, including expressive arts — yes, even online via Zoom!
